Many adults with a substance use disorder also have a mental illness. This is called a co-occurring disorder. At Mutual Ground we provide both a Drug & Alcohol Assessment and also can provide a Mental Health Assessment. We work with a psychiatrist who sees our clients diagnosed with co-occurring disorders, and can provide medication management. Providing both screening and treatment for mental health and substance use disorders can lead to better quality of care and outcomes.

Co-Occuring Disorder Program

  • "What I am dealing with is a life-long disease, and it feels great to know that I have a place like Mutual Ground that doesn't make me feel like I have an expiration date. But they are here with me through all my ups and downs. This is a comfort that I can't even explain in knowing that I am not alone."

  • "I am grateful for Mutual Ground's services. Without their help, I would have lost my family and my home, and would not have been able to reach my new level of happiness."

    Client, 36
