Not a biker? You don’t have  to ride a motorcycle to be part of this event. Join us at Open Range at 6pm for fun and the concert.

The day will start at Open Range Bar & Grill in the morning for the Poker Run and end there in the evening for the concert.

10:30am-12pm: Poker Run Registrationat Open Range Bar & Grill, 1 Golfview Ln, Sugar Grove IL. 60554 from. Entry in the poker run is $15 driver, $10 for passenger.

There will also be raffles, door prizes, and separate prizes for the poker run.  Admission is $10 at the door for non-bikers. (Riders and passengers entry are covered by poker run entry.)

While they know that Mutual Ground is a worthwhile organization and they want to give us funds, there’s a catch.  Ribfest needs several thousand volunteers to make the event work. The more volunteers, the more favorably the club will look at our request for funding.

If you and your buddies sign up for a volunteer shift, be assured you will have a great time and know that you are helping Mutual Ground. As a bonus, all volunteers receive free admission to Ribfest after or before your shift.

A rock concert for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Gather your friends on Thursday, April 26  and come to Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora for an evening of fun and music.  This fundraiser will benefit Mutual Ground and Elgin’s Community Crisis Center.

Thanks to the donations from the bands and Two Brothers, 100% of ticket sales will go the Mutual Ground and Community Crisis Center.

These coffee cakes are only sold through fundraisers, not at stores.

Orders due at Mutual Ground by Feb. 24th.  The pastries will be delivered to Mutual Ground on March 9th.

The cakes come frozen.  When you are ready to serve:  thaw over night, let rise until double in size and bake for a great home made tasting pastry.

Each cake serves 11. Great for Easter at your home or as a gift!  Flavors are: Almond Creme, Apple, Cherry, Cinnamon, Cream Cheese and Raspberry.

2012 Walk for Hope

Are you ready to step up and be part of Walk 2012?

Walk for Hope is a family-friendly fun event on the scenic Fox River.

Walk for Hope is a 5K walk/fundraiser along the river from Fabyan to Wilson and back to Fabyan.  

Walk for Hope is upwards of 500 people–all choosing to make a difference for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Walk for Hope is a huge fundraiser for Mutual Ground. This year’s goal of $75,000 is within reach.  Money is raised through the donations of the  event sponsors (their logos are on the t-shirts, on the banner and on this walk page). Money is raised by individuals who form on-line fundraising pages and ask their contacts, friends, family, etc. to support them.  People give when they are asked. Some give a little–some give a lot. And it all adds up.

Walk for Hope is an opportunity for companies, organizations, families, friends, neighbors, church/synagogue/temple, clubs, etc. to form a teams and raise money together. Each team member forms his/her own page and sends the URL address of their page to their personal email contact list–asking for support of their fundraising efforts.

When you create a page, you will find our letter with reasons to support the Walk and Mutual Ground. You can use this letter, or  better yet–personalize it.  You can add your own photo or graphics, even a video.

If you are like most people, you don’t like ‘asking’ people for money. You will find that raising money on-line is fun and easy. You don’t have to ‘face’ anyone!
