Prevention Education Specialist
Part -time, 10 hours a week.
Mutual Ground has one of the longest running Prevention Education programs in the state. Join our team of Prevention Educators in the schools. The Prevention Education Specialist is responsible for providing education/prevention programs to children in grades K through 12. This 2 day program requires a person who is at ease in a classroom with sensitive subject matter. Age appropriate programs will focus on Personal Body Safety, Sexual Assault Prevention and Domestic and Dating Violence Prevention.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Education, Social Work or Psychology preferred by not required. Experience working with groups of children in a classroom type setting. Energetic and positive personality. Experience with public speaking. Bi lingual Spanish preferred but not required. Candidate must be available to work for 5 hours per day on Mondays and Tuesdays from Feb 1 until June 1.
